Kolhapur Zilla Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh is an Operation Flood dairy project established in 1963 at Kolhapur and the full fledged dairy product factory was started in the 1984.  Kolhapur Zilla Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh is the only sangh in Maharashtra which has got collection of 4,00,000 litres buffalo milk.  As the apex body Mahananda refused to market the buffalo milk of Kolhapur Zilla Dudh Sangh, the Sangh was facing problems for finding good market where they can get remunerative price.   Our dairy has started its milk packaging operations in rented dairy in 1988 on the auspicious day of Gokul Ashtami to develop Mumbai market for its buffalo milk starting with 10,000 litres of milk per day. Due to good quality of buffalo milk and the reasonable price to the consumers Gokul buffalo milk has developed the buffalo milk market with ls and bounds. Now the Gokul Dairy established its own packaging unit in 1 acre plot at Vashi, Navi Mumbai in Mafco area having most modern packaging machinery along with engineering services.  The dairy has achieved IS/ISO : 22000 : 2005 / HACCP certification in a short span of time.  Right now Gokul is marketing around 6,25,000 litres of liquid milk per day.  We are in a process of modernizing our engineering services thereby getting consumers better products and services and maintaining the confidence of Gokul in the minds of consumers for its quantity and quality of milk.  We are continuously trying to improve our consumer oriented services to maintain our supremacy in the market.
